How to Create a LinkedIn Company Page

A LinkedIn Company Page is one of the fastest ways to build credibility for an asbestos removal, surveying, or testing business. Builders, facility managers, and government procurement teams routinely check LinkedIn before awarding work. A complete page signals that you are an established, professional operator — and it gives you somewhere to share completed jobs, licences, and compliance updates. This guide walks through creating the page, connecting it to your Asbestos List listing, and using it to stand out.

Step 1: Set up a personal LinkedIn account

A Company Page must be created by a personal LinkedIn profile — it acts as the page's first administrator. If you already have a personal account, sign in. If not, create one at linkedin.com/signup using your work email. Your personal profile should list your real name and role (for example, "Director, Acme Asbestos Services").

Step 2: Create the Company Page

  1. From the LinkedIn home page, click the For Business icon in the top-right menu, then choose Create a Company Page.
  2. Select Company as the page type (use this even for a sole trader or small business).
  3. Enter your business name. LinkedIn generates a public URL from it — keep it clean and recognisable, e.g. linkedin.com/company/acme-asbestos.
  4. Choose your industry (search for "Environmental Services" or "Construction"), company size, and type.
  5. Tick the verification box confirming you have the right to act on behalf of the business, then click Create page.

Step 3: Complete the profile

A half-finished page does more harm than good. Before you share it, add:

  • Logo and cover image — use the same logo you uploaded to your Asbestos List listing for a consistent brand.
  • Tagline — one line describing what you do and where, e.g. "Licensed Class A asbestos removal across South-East Queensland".
  • About section — your services, licence classes, accreditations, and service areas. Mention the states or regions you cover so you appear in relevant searches.
  • Website — link to your own site, or to your Asbestos List listing if you don't have one.

Step 4: Connect it to your Asbestos List listing

Once your page is live, copy its URL from the browser address bar (for example, https://www.linkedin.com/company/acme-asbestos). Then:

  1. Go to your listing editor in the Asbestos List dashboard.
  2. Paste the URL into the LinkedIn field.
  3. Save your changes.

Visitors to your listing will now see a LinkedIn link, giving them another way to verify and trust your business.

How to stand out

  • Post compliance updates. Share plain explanations of regulation changes (a new WHS code, a state licensing update). This positions you as the expert clients want to hire.
  • Showcase licences and accreditations. Post when you renew a Class A or Class B licence, or gain a new accreditation — proof of compliance wins work.
  • Share completed jobs. A short before/ after post (with the client's permission) demonstrates real capability far better than a sales pitch.
  • Encourage your team to follow and engage. Early followers and reactions help your posts reach a wider audience.
