Asbestos Clearance Inspection Providers in Australia

Last updated June 2026

A clearance inspection is the last step after asbestos removal. A licensed assessor, independent of the removal contractor, checks the area to confirm the asbestos is gone, the site has been properly cleaned, and airborne fibre levels are under the clearance limit. They then issue a clearance certificate, which clears the area for reoccupation or further building work.

Under the WHS Regulations, a clearance inspection is mandatory after any Class A (friable) removal, and after Class B removal of more than 10m². This page lists licensed assessors and businesses offering clearance inspections across Australia.

Methodology

The providers listed here come from the Asbestos List directory and are reviewed before publication. The numbers update on their own as new providers are approved.

Licence details are as reported by each provider. A clearance inspection must be carried out by a licensed assessor independent of the removalist, so confirm both before you engage one.
